While incredibly scenic, this course is strenuous and demanding. We feature fully stocked aid stations as you become part of the semi-wilderness surroundings. November 24, 2007 - Santa Barbara Nine Trails 35 Mile Endurance RunLocated just two hours north of Los Angeles California, Santa Barbara has some of the finest coastal mountain running anywhere. The Santa Barbara 9 Trails is a 35 Mile Trail Run through the Los Padres National Forest Santa Barbara Front Country. The out & back race course has a elevation gain & loss of over 10,500 feet. The lowest elevation is at 600 feet and the highest is at 2,400 feet. The course is very hilly with a challenging blend of single track trail, dirt road and about 4 miles of pavement. It is completely runnable, moderately technical with 10 sustained climbs, tricky downhills and multiple rocky creek crossings. The course is fun, the views are beautiful, the food is good and the people are nice. Come give it a try!
